CAT 2026 Registrations Commenced

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore commenced the registrations for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026 on August 3, 2026. Students who are eligible and interested in appearing for the examination can visit the official CAT website to register for the examination.

The CAT is a common entrance examination conducted for admissions to 2-year postgraduate management courses at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) institutions and premier B-schools nationwide. It is a computer-based examination aimed at testing the management aptitude in candidates. Students holding a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) are eligible for the examination. 

The examination is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2026 and will be conducted in three sessions at over 170 test centres across India. Regarding the seat reservation, 15% seats are reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for  NC-OBC, 10% for EWS and 5% PwBD.

Steps to Register for CAT 2026:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM CAT 2026.

Step 2: On the homepage click on ‘Register’ under ‘New Candidate Registration’.

Step 3: Enter all the required fields and click ‘Generate OTP’.

Step 4: Read the declaration, select ‘I agree’ if agreed upon, and click ‘Confirm’.

Step 5: Log in using the generated credentials and enter the necessary details. 

Step 6: Cross-check the details, click ‘Submit’ and pay the required registration fee.

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference.
